DOG FALLS FOR CATS
The story of Lucky.... His new life began on a street corner when he was too young to be on his own. His "rescuer" knew the risks of taking in a dog like Lucky, but couldn't let him go to an unknown fate. She wrote about her experience with Lucky and posted this video of his new life living with two cats....
"I was at a wedding reception at the Roosevelt on Hollywood Blvd. and there was a commotion outside. A crazy lady was dragging a THREE week old puppy on a leash (trying to sell him). It was cold out and this puppy should have still been under his mother's belly. This appeared to be a sympathy scam so she could get a buck for the pup. She got her buck and I hit the jackpot. I was aware that he may be very sick and might not survive, but I didn't care. He was coming home with me. I wrapped him up in one of the velvet dinner napkins and took him home. My two cats (who had never even seen a dog before) fell in love with Lucky and raised him as if he were their kitten. I have so many amazing clips of the three of them and I've tried to pack them into these videos."
We should all be very cautious when acquiring a pet from an unknown background. Some would argue to NEVER buy a dog from a street corner because of the risks involved, and would frown on supporting those who do it. The truth is we all have to live with our conscience and make up our own minds. In this case, Lucky's owner simply knew she couldn't walk away. Lucky was her dog from the first time she laid eyes on him...... and in this particular case everyone came out a winner - ESPECIALLY LUCKY!! The video shows the incredible bond between a dog and the cats he loves.
